Han Hong

Han Hong is a top Chinese singer and songwriter of ethnic Tibetan origin. She is a Pop singer and also a singer who specializes in a variety of Chinese folk music. She is not only blessed with a great soprano voice, but is also a very successful songwriter. Han Hong was born in Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibetan Autonomous Region. Like her mother, who's also a singer, Han Hong is able to shift quite easily from piercing high pitches to soft low tones. She performed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics opening ceremony on September 5 2008.

Quite a number of Han Hong's songs related to Tibet. The songs swept various pop charts across China, collecting more than forty awards in years.
